Featured at Sterling Fine Art this month selected works from Tony Bonanno’s Synergy series of the female nude in Galisteo Basin, near Santa Fe. Bonanno perfectly transposes the graceful contours of his model with New Mexico geologic outcroppings and skies. His work is reminiscent of classic images of artists such as Edward Weston, whose photographic portraits of bodies are more about formal qualities of line, texture, shape, positive and negative space than the alluring qualities often associated with the nude body. These photographs focus on the contrasts and similarities of human and natural forms.
New works in his White Horses of the Camargue series will also be available.
