Studio Tour!

  • Silver City, NM USA (map)

Mark your calendars! The SCAA Studio Tour is back for 2021!

Meet Silver City Artists in their Studios!

Announcing the Silver City Art Association Studio Tour weekend September 3, 4, and 5th.

Bright RED DOTS will mark open studios.  Follow the map included in the official RED DOT Studio Tour brochure. It will feature descriptions of the work to be found at each studio, hours, and other enticing information.

Brochures can be obtained at each studio, gallery,  or picked up at RED DOT Tour headquarters: the brand new Aldea Gallery at 217 N. Bullard in downtown Silver City.  Aldea Gallery is also the site of the Studio Tour Kick-off Reception on Friday, Sept 3, from 5-7 pm.  Barry Naam will be playing Jazz, and refreshments will be served.

The exchange between artists and visitors makes the annual Studio Tour rich and unique. Visiting artists in their creative space gives insight into different media, processes, and the methods each artist has in applying their techniques. It is also a chance to discover some areas around Grant County that artists discovered before you.  Follow the map down country roads, along scenic byways, as well as historic downtown Silver City, finding studios where you love the art!

This year’s tour includes new to Grant County artists, as well as those for whom New Mexico has been their long-term base & muse. Experience a variety of art: functional & narrative clay work, paintings in diverse media including beeswax, photography, montage, sculpture, digital, and fiber works.
