Little Bear Canyon
Based on a photograph taken at the confluence of the Gila River and Little Bear Canyon in the Gila Wilderness early in the morning in late November, 2023. The horse-packer in the painting was later added to pay homage to the fact that there has never been any modern transportation in the wilderness besides horses and mules as a means of preservation of this pristine forest. Acrylic on canvas, 5' x 6', 2024. On view and for sale at Open Space Brewing in Santa Clara, New Mexico.
Red Desert at Night
Based on a memory of a canyon near the North Wash in Southwestern Utah. Surreal elements can be seen in the light beams from an unknown source in the night sky, unusual colors in the sky and rock, and the ethereal fire burning in the foreground. Acrylic on canvas, 36" x 24", 2024. On view and for sale at Open Space Brewing in Santa Clara, New Mexico.

This piece is decorated with battery-powered lights, allowing it to be a freestanding, indoor or outdoor display. 2023, on view and for sale at Open Space Brewing, Santa Clara, New Mexico.
