Maryam Weidner

Faces fascinate me and most of my art puts a face on an aspect of the natural world.  Personifying nature is my attempt to highlight our shared consciousness and facilitate a deeper understanding of our connection.  My young grandson once asked me why I like nature so much.  My response: “Because I feel closer to God”. 

 The term “Mystical Realism” best describes the style and intention of my art.  It endeavors to illustrate the inter-connectedness of everything in our world, human and non-human, as one family.
