The Opening Reception of “Prints by Henri,” a retrospective show and sale of the work of Henri (Henrietta) Hovarter, will be held from 4-6pm Oct 7 at the Grant County Art Guild Annex. Henri was a popular local print maker, whose work was shown in various Silver City NM galleries. Henri was also active with the Tyron Volunteer Fire and Rescue.

Henri passed away in May this year, leaving an impressive portfolio of etchings (intaglio prints) inspired by her love of the Native American cultures and landscapers of the high desert. This collection will be on display and for sale at the Grant County Art Guild Annex, Oct 8-9, from 10am-5pm during the Southwest Print Fiesta. A portion of the proceeds from sales will benefit the TVFR Firefighter Fund.
